Our client:

A blue-collar service provider to some of the most prominent public and private organisations in Australia. Their work touches the lives of millions of Australians, maintaining the built environment and public spaces. Based in the inner suburbs of Melbourne, they are seeking a Finance Manager to lead the corporate financial requirements for the business.

The role:

Reporting into a high-quality Group FC, the role is responsible for a team of seven, with duties to include:

• Prepare consolidated Group management reports, including variance analysis and cash flow insights.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow forecasts, and CAPEX reporting.
• Manage banking facilities, credit card systems, and covenant reporting.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts and manage the external audit process.
• Oversee tax obligations, including GST, BAS, Payroll Tax, FBT returns, and annual Workcover reporting.
• Lead and develop the Corporate Finance, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable teams.
• Set and deliver on team KPIs.
• Conduct performance reviews and foster a culture of excellence and accountability.

 
About You:

• Degree in Finance or a related field, with CPA or CA qualification.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and tax compliance requirements.
• Proven experience managing month-end processes, audits, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
• Excellent team leadership skills, with the ability to develop and motivate high-performing teams.
