Atlas Partners are working exclusively with a financial services organisation based in the Melbourne CBD for a newly created Head of Compliance position.
  
ABOUT THE ROLE.
Reporting into the Chief Risk Officer, the Head of Compliance is instrumental in ensuring that the Australian entities are fully compliant with all legal and regulatory obligations. Specific responsibilities to include:

• Develop, implement, and monitor compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Stay abreast of changes in regulations and industry standards, and ensure that the organisation is prepared to meet new compliance requirements.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and compliance audits to identify potential areas of non-compliance and develop strategies to address and mitigate risks
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide guidance on compliance-related matters and support business initiatives while ensuring compliance requirements are met.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory inquiries and audits and work to maintain positive relationships with regulatory authorities.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.

• 10+ years within a Senior Compliance positions.
• 5+ years of experience within AFSL licensed organisation.
• 5+ years of proven AML/CTF experience.
• Excellent knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to legal and regulatory compliance.
• Industry Compliance Certifications (ACAMS, etc.)
