Payroll Officer

Are you passionate about payroll and ready to take on a challenging yet rewarding role? Our client is seeking a dedicated Payroll Officer to play a crucial role in managing end-to-end payroll.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process payroll for various employment types on weekly, fortnightly, and monthly schedules.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in Sage Micropay.
  • Process manual and online timesheets.
  • Calculate and process termination payments including redundancies.
  • Produce month-end reports, including superannuation, leave liabilities, and general ledger reporting.
  • Balance and post general ledgers into the finance system.
  • Finalise End of Year processes via STP.
  • Reconcile payrolls and payroll tax.
  • Calculate monthly payroll tax and prepare end-of-year reconciliations.
  • Process and maintain superannuation payments monthly via clearing house.
  • Process monthly payments through the finance system.
About You
  • Minimum 1 year experience in payroll.
  • Experience with Sage Micropay is an advantage.
  • Proven ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
  • Demonstrate accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent time management.
  • Customer-focused with effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
