Payroll Team Leader

Company Description
This client has a rich history in Australia and employs a diverse workforce of 2k professionals across various fields.  

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of 5 - delegating workload, ensuring accurate processing of pay run
  • Oversee a fortnightly payroll of 2k+ employees
  • Build strong internal relationships 
  • Provide customer focused service and be an escalation point for complex queries
  • Run quarterly performance reviews
  • Oversee and implement process changes and improvements
  • Support the Payroll Manager to complete projects 
  • Take charge in documenting current processes
  • Utilize and leverage Chris21
  • Ensure alignment with EBA (Enterprise Bargaining Agreement) 
  • Handle Single Touch Payroll (STP), tax, superannuation, and other related tasks
About You
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Payroll with a proven track record of managing or mentoring a medium size team
  • Experience with Chris21/iChris is a must 
  • Experience working with complex EBA's is an advantage
  • You will have a passion for managing people and creating a positive work environment
