About the Role
As the Accounts Payable Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end AP function, ensuring timely and accurate processing across a large supplier base. You’ll lead and mentor a small team, manage payment cycles, and drive improvements in efficiency, compliance, and reporting accuracy.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing the full accounts payable process across multiple entities and projects
  • Leading, developing, and mentoring the AP team to ensure high performance
  • Overseeing supplier relationships, payment runs, and reconciliations
  • Implementing and enhancing systems, controls, and process improvements
  • Reviewing and approving invoices, coding, and payment batches
  • Liaising with project, procurement, and finance teams to resolve issues promptly
  • Supporting month-end close, reporting, and audit requirements
  • Driving automation and reporting efficiencies within the AP function
About You
You’re a motivated and hands-on finance professional with proven leadership experience in accounts payable. You excel in managing people, streamlining processes, and ensuring accuracy under pressure. With strong stakeholder engagement skills, you can influence, communicate, and collaborate effectively across departments.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Accounts Payable, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end AP processes and controls
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • High attention to detail and a process-improvement mindset
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reporting)
  • Experience with ERP systems (Dynamics or similar) preferred
  • Background in construction or project-based industries highly regarded
