Finance Manager - Transformation Program

Finance Manager – Transformation Program
A large and well-established Australian organisation is delivering a major multi-year transformation program aimed at modernising its core operating platforms and strengthening the way it delivers services. To support this significant program of work, the organisation is seeking a commercially minded finance professional with strong project experience to provide financial leadership, clarity, and governance across a complex portfolio.
This role sits at the centre of the transformation and offers strong exposure to senior leaders. You will work closely with the Program Director, PMO, and Finance to ensure spend is well-managed, risks are understood, and reporting is accurate, timely, and insightful.

The Opportunity

As the Finance Manager – Transformation Program, you will take full ownership of the program’s financial management framework. You will design and maintain tools, models, and reporting that allow the organisation to understand project costs, forecast accurately, and assess the financial outcomes of the program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain tools and processes to track and reconcile project expenditure against budgets and approved baselines
  • Provide clear insights into costs-to-complete, burn rates, and financial impacts of resourcing and scheduling decisions
  • Act as the key link between Finance and the PMO, translating program data (resourcing, timesheeting, scheduling) into financial reporting
  • Partner with Project Managers and the Program Director to ensure financial objectives are met across all work streams
  • Prepare high-quality financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership and governance groups
  • Model and measure the realisation of program benefits using consistent and evidence-based assumptions
About You
  • CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent)
  • 5+ years’ experience across finance, accounting, or FP&A
  • Strong experience supporting large-scale projects or transformation environments
  • Excellent financial modelling, analysis, and reporting capability
  • Highly effective stakeholder management skills
  • Able to operate in a fast-moving, evolving program with competing priorities
What’s on Offer
  • Be part of a flagship transformation with strong organisational backing
  • Meaningful influence over financial governance and decision-making
  • High visibility with senior leaders and the project executive team
  • A secure, multi-year role with strong development and learning opportunities
