About the role:

Ideally you will have commenced your career within a chartered firm and have experience working within a large complex business which has gone through transformation by acquisition. Moreover, you will be personable, have excellent communication skills as your ability to interact and influence key senior stakeholders will be critical to your success.

Snapshot of responsibilities:
  • Leading and developing a talented finance team, embedding a culture of accountability and high performance.
  • Managing month-end and year-end reporting cycles, cash flow planning, and regulatory obligations (GST, FBT, BAS).
  • Delivering high-quality analysis and commentary to senior executives to inform decision-making.
  • Driving continuous improvement through process optimisation, system upgrades, and efficiency initiatives.
  • Maintaining strong governance through robust controls, documented policies, and effective stakeholder engagement.
About you:
  • CA qualification, ideally gained after starting your career with a top-tier professional services or advisory firm.
  • Strong technical expertise across accounting standards, statutory reporting, and corporate tax.
  • Demonstrated success in a financial management or controller capacity within a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
  • Experience leading ERP implementations or finance system projects.
  • A track record of delivering process improvements and change initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate across the organisation.
  • Strong problem-solving capability and a commercial mindset.
