About the Role

This permanent Financial Accountant position will form part of a high-performing finance team, focused on delivering accurate and timely financial reporting in line with public sector and statutory requirements. The role plays a key part in supporting month-end and year-end close processes, maintaining balance sheet integrity, preparing external submissions and contributing to financial improvement initiatives across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Month-end and year-end close, including journal preparation and review
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger maintenance
  • Support the preparation of annual financial statements and external compliance reporting
  • Monitor and reconcile revenue streams in accordance with funding agreements
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to provide financial insight and reporting support
  • Assist with continuous improvement projects and financial process enhancements
  • Liaise with external auditors, government bodies and funding partners as needed
About You
  • Degree qualified in Accounting, Commerce or related field
  • CA/CPA qualified (or working toward completion)
  • Strong technical accounting skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated experience with month-end processes and reconciliations
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams
  • Proficiency with Excel and experience in ERP systems
  • Advantageous: experience in the public sector, healthcare, or other complex, compliance-focused environments
