About the Role

Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a pivotal role for an experienced and commercially astute Financial Controller. You will oversee the finance function across several operating divisions, managing end-to-end financial operations, statutory reporting, and treasury. The role will also expand as new growth businesses are integrated into the remit, providing exposure to projects with strong national and international potential. You’ll lead a small team and play a key role in delivering accurate financial insights, driving process improvements, and supporting commercial decision-making across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee finance operations across multiple business units
  • Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting cycles
  • Ensure statutory, tax, and compliance obligations are met
  • Manage cash flow forecasting and treasury functions
  • Partner with operational leaders to improve project profitability
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimisation initiatives
  • Support capital expenditure evaluations and new business feasibility
  • Mentor and develop a small finance team
About You
  • Degree qualified in Accounting, Commerce, or related discipline
  • CA or CPA qualified
  • Can be a first time Financial Controller, some previous leadership experience is required. 
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and commercial acumen
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders
  • Hands-on leadership style with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
