I'm currently partnering with a well-established national organisation to secure a Payroll Officer for a temporary assignment supporting an experienced Senior Payroll professional.

The Role
Working closely with a Senior Payroll team member, you will support the day-to-day payroll operations and assist with processing across multiple payroll cycles.

• Assist with payroll processing across two entities
• Support payroll runs for ~370 employees (2 monthly payrolls and 1 fortnightly payroll)
• Manage payroll queries from employees and stakeholders
• Assist with GL data extraction for finance upload
• Support month-end reporting and ABS surveys
• Maintain and update employee payroll records within the system
• Work closely with the Senior Payroll team member to ensure payroll accuracy and deadlines are met

About You

• Previous experience in a payroll officer or payroll support role
• Candidates with Micropay experience will be prioritised due to the immediate start requirement.
• Familiarity with Micropay ESS is a bonus (leave, onboarding, bank detail updates, payslips)
• Comfortable using Excel, SharePoint and Teams
• Reliable team player who is comfortable working under direction within a small payroll team
