Senior Financial Accountant - Commercial & Operations

The Opportunity

An opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join the finance team of a large, multi-site hospitality group. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial information, driving process improvements, and partnering with operations to enhance performance across the portfolio.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing month-end and year-end accounting processes and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Preparing management reports, reconciliations, and supporting budgeting and forecasting.
  • Partnering with venue managers and operational leaders to explain financial results and provide actionable insights.
  • Overseeing audit preparation and compliance with ATO and regulatory requirements.
  • Leading process and systems improvements across reporting and reconciliation functions.
  • Supporting an upcoming ERP system implementation (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central).

About You
  • CA/CPA/CIMA qualified
  • 5+ years’ experience in accounting or finance with strong technical capability
  • Proven ability to communicate and influence non-finance stakeholders
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systems
  • Background in hospitality, gaming, or multi-site environments advantageous
  • Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365) desirable
