About the Role

Reporting to the CFO, the Financial Controller plays a crucial role in ensuring the organisation's financial compliance and reporting obligations are met. This hands-on position is integral to managing statutory reporting, including half-yearly financial returns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the preparation of half-yearly and annual consolidated financial reports, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Manage the half-year audit review processes, coordinating with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with financial reporting regulations in Australia, the UK, and the US.
  • Coordinate month-end processes to deliver accurate and timely financial records.
  • Collaborate with external tax agents to oversee tax filings, including income tax, GST/VAT, and other statutory returns across jurisdictions.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes to support financial planning.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and scalability of financial systems and controls.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (CA, CPA, or equivalent).
  • 7+ years of experience, with a strong focus on statutory reporting and audit processes.
  • Understanding of compliance requirements for multi-jurisdictional financial operations.
  • Proven experience in managing half-yearly and annual reporting processes, including consolidated accounts.
