Senior Costing Analyst | Manufacturing / FMCG

About the Role:

Are you a seasoned costing professional seeking a dynamic and impactful role in a fast-paced manufacturing / FMCG environment? This opportunity offers a chance to collaborate across departments, provide critical financial insights, and drive efficiency improvements in a thriving business.

Key Responsibilities:
  
Working closely with the CFO and senior leadership team, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
  • Establish and manage effective cost accounting systems for all products
  • Evaluate production costs, including labour, materials, and overheads
  • Track and analyse inventory valuations for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
  • Conduct cost variance reviews and share insights with management
  • Create detailed cost reports to support strategic decisions
  • Identify and recommend strategies for cost reduction and efficiency gains
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure accurate costings for new product development
  • Monitor and analyse weekly production yields and performance
  • Optimise and update costing processes to enhance operational effectiveness
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Prepare audit-ready documentation and assist in month-end/year-end processes
  • Participate in collaborative projects to advance cost reporting and management systems
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting and CPA/CA certification
  • 3+ years’ experience in product costing within manufacturing or FMCG
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel, and ERP’s (experience using NetSuite a bonus)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders of different levels
  • Detailed-oriented with the ability to drive efficiencies
