About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to join this property business on a temporary, part-time basis to stabilise, remediate and document the payroll function ahead of moving to an outsourced model with Employment Hero.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and correct current payroll issues
• Ensure payroll is compliant, accurate and fit-for-purpose
• Fully document current payroll processes and controls
• Document the Employment Hero HR/payroll system configuration and set-up
• Lead the transition to outsourced payroll with Employment Hero
• Develop clear processes, timelines and templates for operating in an outsourced payroll environment
• Deliver internal education sessions to managers across the business 

About You

• Proven experience as a Payroll Manager, ideally dealing with remediation and system transformation
• Working knowledge of Employment Hero is an advantage
• Excellent understanding of Australian payroll legislation, awards, allowances and bonuses
• Experience with process design and documentation
• Comfortable working autonomously and driving outcomes in a short-term engagement
