Finance Systems & BI Business Analyst

Finance Transformation | Dynamics 365 | Power BI

An opportunity has arisen for a Finance Systems & BI Business Analyst to join a growing organisation undergoing significant finance and systems transformation.

With recent acquisitions and further expansion planned, the business is investing in strengthening its finance architecture, reporting capability and data maturity. This role will sit at the centre of that evolution.

The opportunity

Operating as a key partner to the Finance lead, this role will take ownership of reporting and analytics while supporting the optimisation and adoption of Dynamics 365 across the finance function.

This is not a traditional FP&A role. It is a hands-on finance systems and reporting position, focused on building scalable structures, enabling self-service insight and embedding strong reporting cadence across commercial and procurement teams.

You will play a critical role in shaping how financial and operational data is structured, reported and leveraged as the organisation grows through acquisitions.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead the optimisation and ongoing enhancement of Dynamics 365 within finance
  • Design and build scalable Power BI dashboards and data models
  • Establish and own a monthly reporting cadence (actual vs budget, vertical performance, supplier analytics)
  • Partner with commercial and procurement stakeholders to translate business needs into structured reporting solutions
  • Drive adoption of self-service reporting tools across the business
  • Support acquisition analysis and integration from a systems and reporting perspective
  • Act as a conduit between finance, business stakeholders and project leadership
About you
  • Demonstrated experience working with Dynamics 365 (or similar ERP platform)
  • Strong Power BI capability (data modelling, dashboard development, stakeholder enablement)
  • Experience operating within or closely partnering with a finance function
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the confidence to work with senior leaders
  • A delivery mindset – comfortable building, improving and embedding solutions
  • Understanding of general ledger structures and financial data flows
What makes this role attractive
  • High visibility and direct partnership with senior finance leadership
  • Opportunity to shape finance systems architecture during a growth phase
  • Exposure to acquisition activity and integration projects
  • Hybrid working model (3 days office / 2 days WFH)
  • A collaborative, purpose-driven organisation investing in long-term capability
If you are a systems-minded finance professional who enjoys building reporting frameworks and driving meaningful adoption of data tools, this role offers the opportunity to make tangible impact in a growing business.
