The Opportunity
  
This is a backfill role within an established Finance Business Partnering team, reporting to the GM Finance. You will be one of a team of Finance Business Partners aligned to specific operational areas across the organisation, sitting within a broader finance team.
The role is highly visible - you will work day to day with program managers and healthcare leaders who rely on you to make financial information accessible and actionable. This is a broad position that rewards people who lead with relationships and back them up with solid financial work.

Responsibilities 

• Business Partnering: Partner with non-finance operational leaders to provide financial expertise, analysis, and insights that support program-level decision making
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the end-to-end budget and forecast cycle for your portfolio, from initial build through to ongoing tracking and reforecast
• Management Reporting: Prepare monthly and quarterly performance reports with meaningful variance commentary for internal and external stakeholders
• Government Funding Reporting: Support compliance reporting for block-funded programs, reporting back to funding bodies as required
• Financial Operations: Post month-end journals and perform balance sheet reconciliations as part of the standard close process
• Continuous improvement of finance processes, reporting tools, and business partnering practices across the team

About You
  
For success in this position, we are looking for a Finance Business Partner with proven experience in a similar partnering or FP&A role. Additionally:

• CA/CPA qualified or equivalent
• Background in health, not-for-profit, education, or a comparable services sector is strongly preferred
• Experience in organisations with EBAs and large staffing cohorts is a strong advantage
• Technically solid across budgeting, forecasting, journals, and reconciliations
• Patient, empathetic communicator - able to explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
• Relationship-driven and grounded; someone who brings people along on the journey
