Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage end-to-end external audit engagements for a varied client portfolio
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards
- Identify audit risks and develop tailored audit strategies
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact
- Supervise, coach, and mentor junior and graduate auditors
- Liaise with managers and partners on engagement progress, findings, and reporting
- Ensure compliance with relevant auditing standards (ASAs) and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to process improvement and quality control initiatives
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- 3–5+ years of external audit experience, ideally within a professional services environment
- CA or CPA qualified (or near completion)
- Strong technical knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines
- Experience supervising junior staff
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive, client-focused mindset and strong attention to detail
