Senior Finance Business Partner
An established and growing property development group is seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner to join its finance team in Melbourne.
This role partners closely with development, construction and sales teams, providing financial insight, commercial analysis and decision support across a portfolio of complex development projects including multi-stage land subdivisions and commercial developments. The role offers strong exposure to the full development lifecycle and plays a key role in supporting project performance, funding activities and strategic decision making.

The role
Key responsibilities will include:
• Acting as the key finance partner to development and project teams across multiple projects
• Supporting project feasibilities, budgets and financial modelling using Estate Master
• Providing commercial insights and financial analysis to support project decision making
• Assisting with project funding activities including loan documentation, drawdowns and lender reporting
• Monitoring project costs, budgets and financial performance across development stages
• Performing project sensitivity analysis and identifying financial risks and mitigation strategies
• Supporting project cash flow modelling and group cash flow forecasting
• Liaising with banks, valuers, quantity surveyors, lawyers and other stakeholders during funding processes
• Preparing management reports and providing financial commentary on project performance
• Supporting month-end and year-end processes including reconciliations and reporting
• Assisting with statutory compliance including GST, BAS and margin scheme calculations
• Contributing to continuous improvement of finance processes and systems
About you
To be successful in this role you will likely have:
• Experience in property development finance, ideally across multi-stage development projects
• Exposure to the full development lifecycle including feasibility modelling and project monitoring
• Strong financial modelling and analytical capability
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with Estate Master or similar development feasibility tools
• Understanding of GST, margin scheme and property related tax considerations
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence operational teams
• A proactive and commercially focused mindset with strong attention to detail
