The Opportunity 

This role sits at the centre of a high-volume settlement and reporting function, leading financial control across a substantial annual program of activity. Working closely with commercial and operational stakeholders, you will ensure precision, timeliness and strong financial discipline within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities 

• Lead the end-to-end settlement process across a large volume of events with strict turnaround requirements
• Oversee month end accounting, including journals, reconciliations and event result reporting
• Lead and develop two direct reports, setting clear standards and delivery cadence
• Review contract terms and finalise settlement outcomes alongside commercial stakeholders
• Deliver clear reporting and analysis to support performance oversight
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities
• Take ownership of a specialised settlement platform, including troubleshooting and optimisation
• Identify practical process improvements without disrupting a well-established structure
• Contribute to broader finance leadership initiatives

About You

• CA or CPA qualified with strong technical accounting capability
• Experienced in high-volume, deadline-critical environments where accuracy is non-negotiable
• Comfortable managing complex settlements and structured financial sign-off processes
• Proven people leader with the ability to set standards and maintain control
• Confident partnering with commercially minded stakeholders
• Systems capable and quick to learn specialised platforms
