About the Role 

This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity for an proactive Power BI Specialist to join an established BI function during a period of increased reporting demand. The role focuses on project-based and non-BAU reporting, building and maintaining dashboards that support performance monitoring and decision-making across multiple programs. You’ll work closely with senior leaders and stakeholders and take ownership of reporting deliverables in a structured, performance-driven environment.

Key responsibilities include: 
  • Developing, maintaining and enhancing Power BI dashboards and reports
  • Writing, optimising and maintaining SQL queries to extract and transform data from multiple sources
  • Building and managing data models and DAX measures
  • Working with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights
  • Supporting project-based BI initiatives, including the standardisation of dashboards across programs
  • Ensuring data accuracy, consistency and integrity across reporting outputs
  • Supporting audit, compliance and contractual reporting requirements
  • Providing data and insights to support tender and grant submissions as required

About You
  • Experience within employment services or government-funded programs is highly regarded
  • Proven experience delivering Power BI dashboards, with strong capability across SQL and DAX
  • Experience working with complex or regulated datasets, translating stakeholder requirements into clear, actionable reporting solutions
  • A proactive, delivery-focused approach with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and confidence owning project-based work
