A well-established Australian organisation operating across education, recreation, and community services is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to support a recently acquired business unit during a period of integration and growth.

The Opportunity

You will lead a Finance & HR, providing structure, direction, and stability as the business transitions into a broader group environment.
Working closely with senior operational leaders, you will act as the key finance partner to the business — balancing day-to-day financial delivery with systems improvement, process integration, and change management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of 5 across AP, AR, Payroll, HR and Admin
• Own end-to-end financial management and reporting for the business unit
• Ensure strong controls, payroll accuracy, and effective HR administration
• Deliver clear monthly management reporting, insights, and variance analysis
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and expense discipline
• Partner with senior leaders to support commercial and operational decision-making
• Lead finance systems migration and process integration
• Drive continuous improvement across finance and support functions

About You

• CA or CPA qualified (or equivalent)
• 5+ years’ experience in a Finance Manager, Company Accountant, or similar role
• Proven experience leading and developing teams
• Comfortable operating in environments undergoing change or integration
• Strong systems, process improvement, and change management capability
• Clear communicator with a practical, hands-on leadership style
